AbstractIn this paper, we outline a scheme for entanglement swapping based on the concept of cavity QED. The atom–field entangled state in our study is produced in the nonlinear regime. In this scheme, the exploited cavities are prepared in a hybrid entangled state (a combination of coherent and number states) and the swapping process is investigated using two different methods, i.e., detecting and Bell-state measurement methods through the cavity QED. Then, we make use of the atom–field entangled state obtained by detecting method to show that how the atom–atom entanglement as well as atomic and field states teleportation can be achieved with complete fidelity.
