Synthesis (Englisch)

In the previous chapters we have reviewed the topic of 4C or horizontal logistics collaboration from a theoretical standpoint slowly towards a practical perspective. The goals of academia and industry are mostly the same: to improve the efficiency of transport and thereby contributing to important economic and sustainability goals. In this section we aim to synthesize this discussion by discussing 15 propositions about 4C. The first eight are based on the initial expectations formulated by Van Laarhoven (2008) at the beginning of the 4C action program. The others are based on the description of the literature and 4C applications in Chaps. 10.1007/978-3-030-57093-4_5 to 10.1007/978-3-030-57093-4_8.
