Comez S.p.A, Cilavegna/ltaly, as a producer of crochet knitting machines, mechanical, Jacquard weaving needle looms, and electronic double needle bed warp knitting machines displayed the following innovations at the IKME 2005: The Comez DNB/EL-800-8B, a double needle bed warp knitting machine, with 8 electronically controlled pattern bars, comes in gauge 5, 10, 12 and 15 n.p.i., and a working width of 800mm. The production of an extremely wide range of articles for outerwear, such as scarves, shawls, fashion fabrics for knitwear, sportswear, footwear, underwear and corsetry articles, as well as for technical and medical uses is possible. The electronic crochet machine Comeztronic CT/600 was constructed for the specialized production of a wide range of fancy yarns: from classic flag and feather effects to chenille type yarns. These fancy yarns are applied prevalently in the knitwear sector, but are also very successfully employed in the manufacturing of crochet fabric apparel, and the production of knitted fabrics on rectilinear machines and for special effects on embroidery machinery. The machine comes in gauge 15 n.p.i., a working width of 600 mm, and is equipped with 5 electronically controlled weft bars. The innovative electronic needle loom Comez CLM/EL, specially designed for the production of a wide range of narrow fabrics, both rigid and elastic: laces, ribbons, corsetry articles, ribbons for technical applications, etc. offers a sturdy, compact, easy-to-use structure requiring only simple maintenance, smooth operation with extremely low noise levels and a high output and reliability. The machine is equipped with the Data Control 3 Controller, which allows for the use of numerous electronic-controlled devices (take-down, feeders, etc.). The CLM/EL will be demonstrated in operation with a warp thread beam unwinder, electronically controlled and programmable from the Controller.
