At our closed stacks in Rethen, south of Hannover, you will find all of the technical and science subject areas. The collections comprise 3.6 million volumes, older monographs and theses/dissertations, as well as microforms and periodicals, with the exception of the last five years.
Stocks at the TIB Rethen site are always made available at the TIB Technik/Naturwissenschaften (Science/Technology) site. The delivery time after ordering via the TIB portal is maximum two working days. The media provided will then be available for collection for one week.
Only literature that is particularly worthy of protection or larger holdings are made available exclusively for use in the reading room at the TIB Rethen site. An appointment must be made for this.
TIB offers members of Leibniz Universität Hannover (staff and students) a photocopy delivery service to ensure the speedy, simple supply of literature.
Archiv der TIB/Universitätsarchiv Hannover
The archive of the Archiv der TIB/Universitätsarchiv Hannover with its stacks is also located at the TIB Rethen site. These can be used in the reading room there by appointment.

The Information Desk at the TIB Naturwissenschaft/Technik (Science/Technology) site provides support in the search for literature and on how to use our technical infrastructure.
If you require subject-specific information, please contact the relevant specialised departments. They will provide advice on the in-depth search for scientific literature and on searching databases.
