Here you will find items of relevance for studying technical or science subjects. In the reading rooms, propadeutic literature is shelved by classification; virtually all books may be borrowed. The remaining collections are kept in closed stacks. Orders for items can be placed via the TIB Portal.

- Textbook collection on the gallery and in Group Study Room 3

- Patents and Standards in a dedicated Reading Room with different opening hours

The Information Desk provides support in the search for literature and on how to use our technical infrastructure.
If you require subject-specific information, do not hesitate to contact the specialised departments. They will provide advice on the in-depth search for scientific literature and on searching databases.
Barrier-free accessibility at the site
An automatic door that can be opened at the touch of a button is located to the left of the main entrance. The facilities on the ground floor are accessible to users with restricted mobility. A height-adjustable computer workstation is also available for use there. In order to visit the upper floors, please ask a member of staff at the information desk to give you a transponder for accessing the internal lifts. Doors to the respective floors can be opened electromechanically at the touch of a button. A barrier-free WC is located on the ground floor. Two disabled parking spaces are available on the library’s staff car park, accessible via the approach from Wilhelm-Busch-Straße.
