International research reports

Please note: the consultation is only possible in German.

Did you know that the TIB has one of the world's largest collections of international research reports? These are reports primarily produced by research institutions within or beyond universities and by companies and represent the results, status or progress of research projects. Research reports are therefore, alongside patent literature, one of the most important sources of information if you want to find out about the current state of knowledge on a field of research. American research reports form a focus of our collections, but there are also significant holdings of many European and non-European research and university institutions as well as of the European Union (EU). In recent years, extensive holdings of older report literature have been taken over by other institutions and integrated into the TIB collection. In the meantime, the TIB is often the only owning library in Germany. Anyone who believes that these reports have only a historical significance is mistaken. In aerospace research, for example, but also in energy research, the results of earlier research projects are often still relevant and in demand.

Would you like to get an overview of free and licensed databases containing report literature? You have a citation but cannot find the title in our TIB portal?

I will support and advise you individually and discuss your particular topic.
