IWF-media-collection (Institut für den Wissenschaftlichen Film)

The TIB provides the media inventory of the former IWF Wissen und Medien gGmbH in the TIB AV portal. This media inventory was transferred to the TIB in November 2012. There are already 2,000 IWF films available online, and further titles will be added on an ongoing basis as soon as we have been able to clarify the legal situation. Larger stocks of films from the fields of medicine, psychology and ethnology will not be made available online for ethical or legal reasons, but some will be available on DVD or can be viewed at the TIB. The analogue IWF film heritage is also accessible again, and a four-disc cutting table for 16 mm and 35 mm film copies is available for viewing at the TIB.
