Dr. Holger Israel
Holger Israel is an astrophysicist by training and studied in Göttingen and received his PhD in Bonn. In several stations in research he has been involved with the evaluation of astronomical data in observational cosmology and the associated data analysis software. Thus, he is familiar with applied mathematics from different angles. At the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt in Braunschweig, he worked in the coordination of research data management and became active in the world of Open Science. Since June 2022, he has been a subject specialist and thus the contact person for mathematics at TIB, and also takes care of the future topic of automated content indexing.
