Other financing options

IEEE journals

TIB has concluded an agreement with IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) for Leibniz Universität Hannover and paid in advance the cost (article processing charges) of a number of CC-BY-licensed articles in IEEE journals, which can be used by members of Leibniz Universität Hannover.

Both hybrid journals (in which individual articles are published under Open Access conditions) and pure Open Access journals (in which all articles are published free of charge) are possible for this model.

  • Articles are published under a CC-BY licence.
  • A member of Leibniz Universität Hannover must have co-written the article.
  • Additional overlength charges are not covered by this offer.

Please contact us if you have any questions. Further information can be found on the IEEE website.

Authors who would like to publish an article in a journal that participates in SCOAP³ can request that the costs (article processing charges) are covered from the central SCOAP³ fund.

Important information and remarks about the relevant formalities are listed under “Wichtiges zur Einreichung” (Important information about submission) on the German-language website scoap3.de.

SCOAP³ (Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics) is a consortium that makes available high energy physics publications under Open Access conditions. To this end, a central fund covers the publishing costs, rather than the authors. SCOAP³ was launched at the beginning of 2014, after several years of preparation.

Within the DFG-funded project SCOAP³-DH, TIB coordinates the involvement of German higher education institutions in the international pilot project SCOAP³.
