I am a postdoctoral researcher at TIB and frontend lead for the Open Research Knowledge Graph (ORKG). I obtained a PhD in Computer Science at the Leibniz University Hannover in Germany. My thesis topic relates to using human-computer interaction for scholarly knowledge graph creation. More specifically, this relates to researching, designing and developing user interfaces which enables scholarly researchers to produce and consume semantic scholarly knowledge. Before that, I obtained my master and bachelor degree in Information Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) in the Netherlands. During my masters, I focused on ICT for Development (ICT4D) specifically, on how to design and develop low-cost IoT devices for rural areas in Africa.
I consider myself a full-stack developer, but in recent years I have been actively working on frontend development using new and emerging web technologies. Generally, I am interested in the full lifecycle of tools. Starting with requirement engineering, creating product mockups and designs, and finally the actual implementation.
