Leibniz Joint Lab Data Science & Open Knowledge

Within the framework of a Joint Lab, we conduct research in the fields of Data Science and Open Knowledge together with the Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) and the L3S Research Centre of LUH.

In order to intensify the cooperation between TIB, LUH and L3S, the research and development of new methods and systems for data networking, search in and exploration of large data sets is being promoted in various projects within the framework of the joint lab. The Joint Lab serves as a nucleus for further initiatives in the field of research and innovation.

Intelligent systems enable target group-specific teaching and personalised learning.

Manufacturing & Automation

The new highly networked, intelligent technologies offer the potential to radically reorganize production and service processes and redistribute work efficiently between humans and machines.

Medical research and therapy are increasingly IT-supported and networked, enabling treatments to be adapted to individual patient needs (personalization) and placing the patient at the center.

Interdisciplinary Web Science

Our activity in the domain of Web Science combines research from disciplines as diverse as sociology, computer science, economics, mathematics, sociology, economics, psychology, law and computer science to understand and explain the Web.
