Aim of this cooperation project was to establish digital preservation processes for choosen digital material from the subject pharmacy, owned by Pharmacy SIS. Another aim was a conceptual evaluation of connecting the Pharmacy SIS with TIB document delivery service.
Description
Within the framework of the specialized information service for pharmacy, which is managed by the University Library of Braunschweig, processes for long-term preservation have been set up for selected digital materials in the field of pharmacy. These processes are based on TIB standard procedures and were adapted for the Ingest of the materials mentioned above. Within the scope of the project, the following digital preservation processes were executed: consulting for preparation and structuring of data, Pre-Ingest analysis, configuration of the digital preservation system for Ingest processing and Ingest.
Another aim was a conceptual evaluation of connecting the Pharmacy SIS with TIB document delivery service to discussion to forwarding and process of document orders from the Pharmacy SIS to the TIB document delivery services.
