At TIB - Leibniz Information Centre for Technology and Natural Sciences, I am a Senior Researcher in the Data Science & Digital Libraries Research Group. I received a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Cologne and a diploma in economics and social sciences, also from the University of Cologne.
As co-spokesperson of the METHODS consortium project and previously of the ForumX consortium project, I am involved in the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). At TIB, I am working on the user perspective of the ORKG to bring together the often heterogeneous data on a research topic in economics, social sciences, and sports sciences. I am affiliated with the Center for Empirical Research in Economics and Behavioral Sciences (CEREB) at the University of Erfurt.
My research interests lie in bringing together theories, methods, and data infrastructures in a cross-disciplinary approach. The goal is to open new ways of data-driven (transdisciplinary) research. My other research interests are basic principles of human behavior and their study using experimental data from political science, economics, sociology, psychology, and neuroscience.
Before joining TIB, I developed and established repositories for experimental social sciences (x-science) and experimental economics (x-econ.org) both at GESIS Leibniz Institute for Social Sciences and at OVGU Magdeburg. I am co-author of the official analysis report for the Swiss National Research Data Strategy (ORD- Strategy) on behalf of swissuniversities and involved in the development of the Canonical Workflows for Research (CWFR) framework.
