The Lab Non-Textual Materials (NTM), led by Margret Plank, was founded in 2012. It aims to develop and operate innovative infrastructures, tools and services that improve the retrieval, searching and citation of videos, research data, graphics and Open Educational Resources (OER). The Lab Research Data Service (RDS), led by Angelina Kraft, is part of the Lab NTM and deals in particular with infrastructure projects in the context of research data. For the fast and successful transfer of research approaches into practice, the developments are consistently accompanied by user-centred and agile software design, so that optimal usability of the infrastructures, portals and tools is ensured.
