This year, the Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) – German National Library of Science and Technology will be a media partner at the FOSS4G conference 2017, featuring its AV-Portal: after the close of the event, recordings of the conference will be permanently available in TIB’s AV-Portal and freely accessible to all those interested. The FOSS4G conference – which will be hosted this year from 14 to 19 August 2017 in Boston (USA) – is the largest conference for Free and Open Source Software for GIS (geographic information systems) and the topics of Open Data and OpenStreetMap.

Around 600 video recordings – with a total running time of some 300 hours – of the FOSS4G conferences 2013, 2015 and 2016 and of the FOSSGIS conferences held between 2011 and 2016 are already archived permanently in the online portal and are freely available.
