Sven Strobel studied linguistics and history at the University of Stuttgart and received his PhD in linguistics as a scholarship holder of an international graduate school. He has worked as an information specialist in the television archives of Bayerischer Rundfunk. Since 2013 he has been working in the Research & Development department of the German National Library of Science and Technology (TIB). As Product Owner, he is responsible for the further development of the TIB video portal (TIB AV-Portal).
