Research reports

Research reports are publications containing the results, current status or progress of research projects; they are not available through booksellers. They are produced by both university and non-university research facilities as well as by companies. They are commissioned or funded by governmental agencies (ministries, sector agencies), international organisations (e.g. the European Union, UN subsidiary organisations), institutions involved in research funding, and companies.

TIB collects German research reports from the realms of science and technology as comprehensively as possible. We act as a depository library for research reports for various ministries and research-promoting institutions, including the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK). TIB's collections currently comprise some 312,000 printed final reports and around 117,000 electronic final reports (as of: January 2024).
