Research reports

Research reports are publications containing the results, current status or progress of research projects; they are not available through booksellers. They are produced by both university and non-university research facilities as well as by companies. They are commissioned or funded by governmental agencies (ministries, sector agencies), international organisations (e.g. the European Union, UN subsidiary organisations), institutions involved in research funding, and companies.

TIB collects German research reports from the realms of science and technology as comprehensively as possible. We act as a depository library for research reports for various ministries and research-promoting institutions, including the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). TIB's collections currently comprise some 295,000 printed final reports and around 99,000 electronic final reports (as of: January 2021).

How can you obtain a particular report?

All research reports can be found in the TIB Portal: electronic reports are freely accessible, printed versions can be ordered online.

Please contact us if you are unable to find the research report you are looking for.
