The Dieter Hennebo Collection

The Dieter Hennebo Collection embraces the library of Dr. agr. Dieter Hennebo (1923-2007), who taught and conducted research as Professor of the History of Open Space Planning (History of Garden Art and Urban Greenery, Care of Garden Memorials), at Hannover University from 1965 to 1987. The collection is located at the TIB Science/Technology site.

What does the Hennebo Collection include?

The library collections contain standard works as well as a number of rare editions of literature concerning garden architecture and garden art, expert reports, various scripts and unpublished individual works. Archival materials are also included, a collection of specialist materials containing relevant specialist articles, special editions, pamphlets, handwritten notes, etc. in a thematic order.

How can you use items from the Hennebo Collection?

All materials from the Hennebo Collection are for reference only. All documents from the library's holdings can be searched and ordered in the TIB Portal, but may only be used at the special reading desks via the Reading Room Information Desk on the first floor from Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 16:30 (on Saturdays by personal appointment only).
