The link service SFX is a convenient way to gain quick access to full texts mentioned in bibliographical references from databases.
Many databases feature an SFX button or link, which opens a service window for you to enter your search request. Ideally, SFX will direct you automatically to the electronic full text. If the article you require is not available in full-text form, an abstract will be provided, where possible. You can also find the printed version of the journal containing the requested article via a link to the catalogue. If this journal is not available at TIB, a link to the Union Catalogue (GVK) will enable you to obtain the journal online via the Common Library Network (GBV) Interlibrary Loan or to order a document via subito.
You can use the Citation Linker to search directly for articles without having to depend on an SFX-enabled database.
The Citation Linker provides a central point of access to search for articles. If you have bibliographic information about a citation from the literature, you can enter this data into the Citation Linker, which will then state whether or not the article is available. The SFX pop-up menu will specify whether TIB can provide access to printed or electronic full texts.
Please enter as much information as possible to obtain accurate results. At least the publication title and/or ISSN/ISBN must be entered in the search form before the search request can be submitted. In specific cases, a window containing a selection of journal and book titles will be displayed after submitting the search request. You will then be required to select the title that matches your search best.
Please note: The Citation Linker is ideal for full-text search. If you prefer to conduct a thematic search, please use our variety of databases.
