Shading and Hot Spot Performance of Shingled Cell Array Module (English)

As a disruptive module assembly technology, the shingled cell array modules(SAM) have gained more interest as they offer >10% higher module power and better module reliability than conventional ribbon interconnection based modules. Two kinds of mono PERC shingled array module (SAM) samples have been prepared and tested with rated power more than 325W under standard test conditions. The distinct shading and hot spot performance of these SAM samples are reported in the paper for the first time. In addition, the SAM demonstrated a significant reliability benefit of a lower hot spot temperature than conventional module.
