The chemical CO2 fixation and utilization project aims at developing a process for methanol synthesis through the hydrogenation of a large quantities of recovered carbon dioxide. Three elemental technologies were studied-carbon dioxide membrane separation, catalytic hydrogenation for methanol synthesis, and hydrogen production and supply. This recycling system will contribute to the reduction of CO2 emission and fossil fuel use.
