Experts from a variety of communities will gather in Kiel on 28 June 2017 to discuss the latest developments and practical approaches in digital preservation at nestor Practitioners’ Day. This year, emphasis will be placed on format recognition, format validation and tools in digital preservation. During the event, experts will report about their experience in the field of digital preservation: Michelle Lindlar from the Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) – German National Library of Science and Technology will contribute to the event with a talk entitled “Truth or dare? Validation using JHOVE”.
On 29 June 2017, the day after nestor Practitioners’ Day, the Format Recognition nestor work group will host a workshop at ZBW in Kiel on the topic of format recognition, format validation and tools.
