SURFsara research seminar at TIB

High Performance Computing Research Infrastructure Services

Unfortunately, the research seminar on 18 April has to be cancelled due to illness.

SURF is a cooperation of all universities and research institutions in the Netherlands, which offers national computing, data and network infrastructure services to support research, education and industry in the Netherlands.

On 18 April 2018, the TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology in Hannover (Germany) is organizing the research seminar SURFsara from 10 am to 11 am.

Prof. Dr. Anwar Osseyran, CEO of SURFsara and CEO of SURF, will give a presentation entitled "Dutch and pan-European High Performance Computing Research Infrastructure Services".

In addition to the High Performance Computing Infrastructure, projects in the areas of Research Data Management, Exascale Computing, Research Cloud, Machine Learning, Big Data and Unified Computing Architecture will be presented during the seminar.

Visitors to the event will also receive an overview of the Open Innovation Lab's pilot projects in the fields of quantum computing, energy efficiency and smart health as well as two European HPC projects (PRACE and EuroHPC).

The seminar will be held in English.
