The "Media Competence Day 2017" will take place for the fifth time on 2 November 2017. The motto of this year's symposium in Hannover is "Competent, networked and secure in the digital world" and offers a platform for advanced training, exchange and networking in the field of media competence to all those who impart media competence.
Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) – German National Library of Science and Technology is present with two lectures on higher education:
- “Teaching information literacy in a playful way – the Serious Game Lost in Antarctica", speakers: Christine Burblies (TIB) and Dr. Simone Kibler (University Library of the Technical University of Braunschweig)
- “Handbook i. o. Open Science Lab – Experiences with Collaborative Scientific Writing in the Context of Book Sprints and Teaching at Universities", speaker: Lambert Heller (TIB)
The "Media Competence Day 2017" is organised by the Lower Saxony State Institute for School Quality Development (NLQ) and the Lower Saxony State Media Institute (NLM).
