Learning actively, exchanging experiences, participating in growing our knowledge production skills together – these are the goals of "The SprintCon2019“, a convention that is aimed at communities that are engaged in their everyday work in science with the creation of Open Books and other open knowledge resources. The SprintCon will take place on 21 October 2019 as a pre-conference of the 21st International Conference on Grey Literature (GL21) at the TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology in Hannover.
The experts from the TIB's Open Science Lab will be drawing on their extensive experience gained during the participation in and moderation of Book Sprints – several authors jointly produce a book within just a few days – and will be passing this on. In impulse lectures and barcamp sessions on this day, the presentation and discussion of the toolset of agile practices in book writing and other varieties of open knowledge creation will take centre stage.
From now on, interested persons can apply to participate in SprintCon.
