The “Scientific Knowledge Engineering” (SKE) research group for young researchers of the Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) – German National Library of Science and Technology – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology will present several projects relating to knowledge organisation in the context of Industry 4.0 at this year’s HANNOVER MESSE from 23 to 27 April 2018.
The research group works on modeling, maintaining, and integrating domain-specific ontologies
and vocabularies in industrial contexts in order to optimize production workflows and supply chainsin various scientific, interdisciplinary and business contexts, focusing on Industry 4.0.
One of the projects presented will be the EU-funded project BOOST 4.0 – Big Data for Industries. The initiative in the field of Big Data for Industry 4.0 will lead the construction of the European Industrial Data Space to improve the competitiveness of the European Automotive Industry and will work to accelerate the adoption of Big Data and advanced analytic solutions in the European Automotive Industry through global standards, open APIs, secure digital infrastructures, trusted Big Data Middleware and digital manufacturing platforms.
