Workshop for young scientists

Carpentries-based workshop „FAIR Data and Software“

In which way is science called "FAIR"? The  TIB – Leibniz-Information Centre for Science and Technology is organising a workshop for young scientists from 9 to 13 July 2018 with the aim of introducing participants to the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable).

According to the FAIR principles, scientific data should be discoverable, accessible, interoperable and reusable. In the workshop entitled "FAIR Data and Software", participants learn how to apply the FAIR principles to research data and software management and development.

During the workshop, participants will focus each day on a FAIR principle and develop best practices for the preparation, publication and archiving of scientific papers in interactive, experimental working groups.

The workshop is part of an ideas competition sponsored by Forschungszentrum Jülich and funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
