Bibliothekartag 2020 in Hannover: Call for papers is online

Proposals for lectures, panel discussions and hands-on labs may be submitted from 1 September

The 109th Bibliothekartag (German Librarians' Day) will take place from 26 to 29 May 2020 in the Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC). In 2020 there will again be the opportunity to present a variety of topics in various formats from lectures and panel discussions to hands-on labs.

With seven subject areas, the Bibliothekartag addresses different target groups and areas of interest – all about new and old challenges for libraries and library-related institutions. The topics include political and social challenges, the library as a physical location, education and training, technology and IT infrastructure, content and digitisation, research data and research-related services as well as management and organisation.

Lectures on these topics can be submitted from 1 September to 2 December 2019. The Call for Clips and the Call for Poster will be published in November 2019.

The Hannover libraries – the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Bibliothek, the Stadtbibliothek Hannover and the TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and University Library – invite the librarians to the state capital of Lower Saxony in 2020.
