New in TIB Portal: SPIE Digital Library

Extensive collection of publications in the field of optics and photonics now also available for single article purchases.

All articles of the International Society of Optics and Photonics (SPIE)  from SPIE Digital Library are now available in the TIB Portal for all users within the scope of the single article purchase.

With around 450,000 electronic full texts, the SPIE Digital Library is the most comprehensive research database for optics and photonics. It includes:

  • more than 400,000 contributions from 1962 to the present day,
  • more than 390,000 SPIE Proceedings from 300 meetings per year and
  • Various peer-reviewed journals

In addition to the purchase of single articles, documents can also be accessed under an alliance license sponsored by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation).

Participating institutions (including Leibniz Universität Hannover) can now access the full texts of the SPIE Digital Library directly via the TIB Portal, in addition to the previous database access. The TIB has been the negotiator for this alliance license since 2015.
