The TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology supports conference organisers with its new conference recording service.

Conferences play an important role in the communication of scientific results. However, the audience is usually limited to a small group of people from the respective research field. Thanks to the new TIB conference recording service, speakers can now significantly increase the reach of their presentations: The lectures published on the TIB's AV-Portal reach a larger audience and are also visible to scientists from other research areas and interested laypeople.

With the combination of the AV-Portal and the new conference recording service, the TIB offers a reliable infrastructure for conference recordings, which are published in the AV-Portal and archived on a long-term basis. Furthermore, the semantic search in spoken and written language increases the discoverability of the videos in the portal. "With the conference recording service, the TIB now covers the entire process chain from planning and production to the publication of conference recordings", TIB Director Prof. Dr. Sören Auer is pleased to announce.
