For three days, Leibniz Universität Hannover will be the melting pot of open science from 30 September to 2 October 2019. In 2019, the TIB is organising the Open-Access-Tage 2019 (Open Access Days) in Hannover together with Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) and the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Library (GWLB).
The conference is the annual central platform for the steadily growing Open Access and Open Science community from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It is expected to attract 350 participants, most of whom will be experts from libraries, research institutes and funding institutions. Björn Thümler, Lower Saxony's Minister of Science and Culture, has also confirmed his participation.
Keynote speeches, conferences, seminars, workshops and sessions on this year's motto "Sustainability of Open Access" will be held around the university's atrium, the Lichthof. It will become the central plaza and the Open Access Days a conference of short distances.
Proposals for lectures, workshops, posters and the Tool Marketplace can now be submitted. The deadline for presentations and workshops is 2 May 2019, posters and contributions for the Tool Marketplace can be submitted until 1 July 2019.
For the first time, moderators for the sessions will also be sought. Their tasks include the presentation of the speakers, the moderation of the plenary discussion and binding time management. Expressions of interest for moderations can also be submitted until 1 July 2019.
