"The TIB's consistent equal opportunities work has been further professionalized in recent years," said the jury of Total E-Quality Deutschland e. V. in its statement. This year, the TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and University Library has been awarded the title Total E-Quality for the sixth time in a row, it was first awarded to the library in 2004. The award is valid for three years and is the result of an extensive application process.

Equal opportunities have been an integral part of the TIB's strategy for many years and are an important aspect of personnel and organizational development. "In recent years, we at the TIB have developed new formats for internal communication in order to strengthen our organizational culture in line with opportunities. In addition, there is an agreement on mobile work that enables colleagues to better combine work and family life," says Michaela Ohlhoff, Equal Opportunities Officer at the TIB, describing the latest successes.

The TIB's wide range of continuing education and training opportunities and its close cooperation with Leibniz Universität Hannover, for example nursery services, are further elements of the successful equal opportunities programme at the TIB, which has now once again been confirmed and honoured by the awarding of the Total E-Quality Award.
