Open Access in TIB’s consortia

For many years now, Open Access has been a topic that is significantly changing the literature acquisition and the provision of content at scientific institutions. Drawing on its experience and competence in negotiating contracts, TIB strives to support the transformation process within its consortial business as effectively as possible. One way to do this is to negotiate deals that cover both "reading" and "publishing" costs. These contracts can also be found in the ESAC Transformative Agreement Registry.

In addition to these so-called "Read & Publish" contracts, we also negotiate agreements that cover publication services only. To this end, we develop models together with the publishers, ranging from a simple discount for publication fees (APCs) to collaborative financing of publication organs.

In addition, our consortia are listed in the GASCO Monitor (consortium office: TIB Konsortien).
