The fourth edition of the workshop series “Retrodigitization” which will take place as an online workshop at the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin on 21 and 22 March 2022, is dedicated to the question “Do it yourself or let it be done?”
This year, the workshop program will consist of two main topics:
1. advantages and disadvantages of retro-digitization in-house or with external service providers.
2. questions of quality management in digitization
Digitization practitioners and employees from libraries, academic and other cultural heritage organizations will present solved and unsolved issues in the field of retro-digitization in 20-minute presentations followed by a discussion.
The Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin – Preußischer Kulturbesitz (Berlin State Library – Prussian Cultural Heritage) is organizing the workshop together with TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology, ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics and ZB MED – Information Centre for Life Sciences.
Due to the pandemic, the workshop will be held as an online workshop via Webex.
