A digital exchange between politics and science

TIB informs members of parliament on topics related to digitisation

On 18 and 19 May 2021, the format "Leibniz im Bundestag" will be held again. This year, however, due to the corona pandemic, the scientists of the Leibniz Association will meet again virtually with their discussion partners. The members of the Bundestag have the opportunity to exchange views directly with the experts of the Leibniz Association from all over Germany on various topics from science and research, society, economy, technology, education, health and environment.

TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology will provide information on topics relating to digitisation:

  • "COVID-19 – sharing and connecting scientific knowledge faster": TIB Director Prof. Dr. Sören Auer presents the Open Research Knowledge Graph and shows why this research project from Lower Saxony enables a faster exchange and linking of scientific knowledge and can thus help solve global problems.
  • "Digital transformation in information supply – not without e-lending!" TIB legal counsel Judith Ludwig provides information on the impact of the digital transformation on academic libraries: What works? What is missing? What legally required general conditions we need for the information supply of the future.
