The conference “DAYS OF UKRAINE IN LOWER SAXONY” in Hannover on 30 September and 1 October 2022 is aimed the expansion and further development of the German-Ukrainian academic and research cooperation through better networking, information exchange, knowledge and cultural transfer.
The conference showcases the current partnerships and cooperation projects in higher education between Ukrainian and German universities and institutions from Lower Saxony. It provides valuable information about funding possibilities and ideas for initiation of new bilateral or multilateral projects. It offers the platform for networking and exchange with the representatives of Ukrainian universities who will present their institutions during the poster session, with the refugee researchers from Ukraine who will report on their activities at the hosting institutions in Lower Saxony as well as with the representatives of the civil society initiatives with the focus on Ukraine.
Two TIB lectures on German-Ukrainian cooperation
On 30 September 2022, TIB will be represented with two lectures: At 10:50, Margret Plank, Head of Lab Non-Textual Materials at TIB, will present the “Open Educational Resources with Ukraine” project funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), on which TIB is working with multiple partners.
Christian Hauschke, Head of Lab Group Open Research Information at TIB, and Nataliia Kaliuzhna, Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, will present the project “FAIR Research Information in Open Infrastructures” with the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine (SSTL of Ukraine) at 15:00.
TIB will also be recording the conference presentations and subsequently publishing them on the TIB AV-Portal.
“Days of Ukraine in Lower Saxony” are hosted by the International Office of Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) and are organised as a networking conference in cooperation with the Hannover Medical School (MHH) and the German-Ukrainian Academic Society (DUAG).
