SEMANTiCS 2017

Professor Dr. Sören Auer contributes to international conference on Linked Data and Semantic Web

SEMANTiCS 2017 is set to take place in Amsterdam (Netherlands) from 11 to 14 September 2017. Experts will gather at the international conference to discuss the latest projects, challenges and developments in the field of Linked Data and Semantic Web.

Professor Dr: Sören Auer, Director of the Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) – German National Library of Science and Technology and Professor of Data Science & Digital Libraries at Leibniz Universität Hannover, will play an active role in the workshop entitled “The importance of Metadata & Big Data in OpenScience” as coordinator of the EU project BigDataEurope. He will also give a talk on the “Interoperability and Aggregation of Research Data” within the Data Science session. One of the aspects addressed in his talk is the paradigm shift in the exchange of knowledge among researchers – from the traditional document-based exchange of information to the knowledge-based exchange of information encompassing structured and machine-readable information.
