On 1 May 2022, all regulations for visiting the library that have been in force up to now due to the Corona pandemic will no longer apply: access regulations and the obligation to wear mouth-nose protection will no longer apply and (almost) all workstations at the TIB sites will be available again. Only if the library is too overcrowded will we reserve the right to restrict access to the reading rooms again.
Protect yourself and others
Even though mouth-nose protection is no longer mandatory, we still recommend that you wear medical or FFP2 masks, especially in areas where people come into direct contact with each other (entrance, wardrobes, information desk, circulation desk and on corridors).
Please continue to maintain sufficient distance from other users, observe the usual hygiene rules (sneezing and hand hygiene, regular disinfection of hands) and avoid visits to the library if you have symptoms of a cold or illness.
All recommended measures are for your protection and that of our employees and users.
