Digital Preservation Coalition: iPres 2022 keynotes translated into several languages

TIB contributes to the digital preservation community effort by translating the iPres keynotes into German

The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC), a non-profit organisation for joint community work in digital preservation, now provides the keynotes of iPres 2022 in Arabic, French, German, Japanese and Spanish. This ensures that the valuable contributions of the international conference on digital preservation are also accessible to non-English speaking experts. This is possible thanks to the dedicated members of the DPC who have translated the contributions. The TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology contributed to the translation into German.

The iPres 2022 conference in Glasgow, hosted by the DPC, offered a rich programme (including contributions from TIB) around digital preservation: with keynote speeches from Amina Shah, National Librarian and Chief Executive of the National Library of Scotland, Tamar Evangelestia-Dougherty, Director of the Smithsonian Libraries and Archives, and Steven Gonzalez Monserrate, PhD student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. During the hybrid event, presentations were recorded and made available via the DPC's YouTube channel
