Free scanning facilities available at all TIB sites

No printing and copying at TIB since 1 June 2021

Since 1 June 2021, there are temporarily no printing and copying facilities at TIB, as the contract with the previous service provider RICOH has not been renewed. The TIB is currently examining various options to enable users to continue printing and copying on site at the library in the near future.

Scanning facilities at the TIB

The TIB offers free scanning facilities at all sites: Flatbed scanners are available at some workstations. Furthermore, one overheas scanner is available at each of the TIB sites: Conti-Campus, Technik/Naturwissenschaften (Science/Technology), Sozialwissenschaften (Social Sciences) and Geschichte/Religionswissenschaft (History/Religious Studies). The scans can only be saved on a USB stick. Please bring your own USB stick for this purpose.

What happens to remaining credits on copy cards?

Users with remaining credits on their copy cards could use them at TIB until 31 May 2021. At present, the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Library (GWLB) still has an ongoing contract with RICOH, so that credit can also be used there.

The remaining credit will be paid out directly via RICOH. For copy cards and subsequently no longer required library cards (for example because a LeibnizCard is available as a library card), payment can be requested from RICOH. The card must then be sent to RICOH. Anyone who still needs the library card must contact RICOH as before (request by e-mail to inforicohde).

TIB will continue its efforts to ensure that RICOH offers a possibility to pay out credit on site at the TIB.
