€900,000 available for technical solutions to digitise the energy sector

A total of €900,000 is available within the framework of the EU-funded PLATOON project to develop technical solutions for the digitalisation of the energy sector.

PLATOON aims, among other things, to increase the use of renewable energies – for example through intelligent network management and increased energy efficiency. Applications for funding for the development of a tech solution as well as new analysis tools are open from now until 4 March 2021. The open call is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) – a maximum of €150,000 is available for each of six projects. In addition, the participating companies will access a 9-month Support Programme receiving mentoring from PLATOON’s core partners

The PLATOON consortium brings together 20 partners from nine European countries (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland), including the TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology. PLATOON is funded by the EU's Horizon 2020 programme for research and innovation.

If you have any questions about the open call, please contact TIB's Alexandra Garatzogianni (Communication & Dissemination Lead PLATOON) and Michael Fribus (Communication & Dissemination Deputy PLATOON).
