Take part in the Ideas Run for the Science Year 2022!

#MeineFragefürdieWissenschaft (my question for science) – interested citizens can submit their questions until 15 April 2022

What media literacy will we need in the future? How big is outer space? These are just two questions for science that citizens are concerned about. The “Ideas Run” of the Science Year 2022 is intended to provide answers to other questions that are burning under the nails of citizens. This year's focus of the Science Year will be on the dialogue between the public and science, which citizens should actively shape with their submitted questions.

Questions, questions and more questions for science

This is why the “Ideas Run”, the central interactive campaign of the Science Year, invites all citizens to contribute to and help shape important topics in science and research policy. Citizens can submit their questions until 15 April 2022. These questions will then be discussed by juries of scientists and chosen members of the community, including TIB employee Matti Stöhr, bundled together and put into their professional context by means of supplementary texts. Afterwards, it is once again the citizens' turn: in an online consultation, i.e. a digital participation process, they can contribute to the discussion and comment on previous results.

Collecting new ideas for research and research policy in Germany

In the end, a pool full of new ideas for research and research policy in Germany will be created through the cooperation of citizens and science. The results of this exchange will be compiled in a report that will be handed over to policymakers and researchers in autumn 2022.
