The TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and University Library offers a wide range of on-site services. The programme includes regular training courses, workshops, online seminars, conferences and cultural events, and many other TIB events. Due to the Corona pandemic, most of the events are currently still taking place online, but there are already guided tours on site.
We provide an overview of the events scheduled for January 2021:
- 5 January 2021, 15:00: General open virtual consulting hours with information on library use on site, current regulations during visits to our sites, lending and return of literature and the accessibility of the TIB
- 7 January 2021, 13:00: ten-minute coffee lecture on a library or scientific work topic
- 12 January 2021, 11:00: “Neu an der Bibliothek? Webinar für Erstsemester sowie neue Nutzerinnen und Nutzer der Bibliothek“ (“New at the library? Webinar for first semester students and new library users“) – useful information and lots of tips for using the library (in German)
- 12 January 2021, 14:00: Webinar “Schluss mit Zettelwirtschaft – Citavi hilft bei der Studienarbeit“ – Online seminar on the basic functions of the Citavi literature management program (in German)

- 21 January 2021, 14:00: The 60-minute webinar ”SIDDATA – Joint project for Individualization of Studies through Digital, Data-Driven Assistants” deals with the question of how digital study assistants can support students? The webinar is part of the “Hannover Research Seminar Series on the Digitization of Research and Education”.
- 25 January 2021, 14:00: The 75-minute webinar "Fachspezifische Suche für Informatiker*innen" (Subject-specific search for computer scientists) introduces basic techniques for searching the literature in computer science.
