Earthquake-proof building in prestressed concrete forms monolithic structure 100 × 80 × 27 m high consisting of ground floor and three stepwise receding floors, supported by columns at about 10 m on centers; to assure seismic resistance, monolithic prestressed concrete foundation slab was placed in checkerboard fashion to relieve all shrinkage effects, and cylindrical columns supporting main floor beams were provided with elastic Freyssinet hinges obtained by narrowing of column cross section.
