The objective of the IAM (Interactive Adaptive Ground Sensor Networks) project is to demonstrate how a network consisting of ground sensors and communication systems can be designed and how system user interaction for this system can be designed. In this report, an overview of the different constituents of the demonstrator developed in the project is given. Furthermore, the main results of the project are given without the theoretical framework that has been included in previous reports. In the project it has been shown that the network (consisting of protocols for wireless communication and an information system) works well for these data. Furthermore, it has been shown that acoustic and seismic sensors can be used to classify and track vehicles moving in the network even though the terrain varied. The classification was improved by multisensor data fusion (voting) and filtering. The performance of the sensors has not yet been optimized, but the range for vehicle detection with these sensors is estimated to be in the order of one kilometer, while the range for classification and bearing estimation is estimated to be a few hundred meters, depending on the terrain.
