The title of the first volume is 'Robotics'. The following subjects are described: robot functions and features, robot vision, programming a robot, kinematics and dynamics, commercially available robots, current robotics research, the expanding robot population. Volume two is devoted to expert systems. Special titles are: architecture of expert systems, expert systems in existence, knowledge acquisition and learning, summary of the state of art, future trends. The third volume covers computer vision with special articles about origins of computer vision, relation to human vision, a basis for a general purpose image understanding system, basic paradigms for computer vision, industrial vision systems. The content of volume 4 presents computer-based natural language processing. Subtitles are: the parsing problem, semantics and the Cantankerous aspects of language, knowledge representation, syntactic parsing, semantics, parsing and understanding.
