Describes a study to increase the reliability and cost effectiveness of the performance of the process water supply system. Using experimental data received and standard characteristics of condensation plants, an algorithm and program were prepared and run on a computer. On this basis, graphs were produced of the optimal and cost-effective work modes of the circulating pumps in the three pumping stations in order to maintain an economic level of vacuum in the condensers under the most characteristic turbine-generator set combinations. To monitor the performance of the turbine condensers beyond their normal characteristics, the relationships of absolute pressure to the steam load and cooling water temperature at rates, characteristic of recommended pump work modes, were formulated.
