The main purpose of this investigation is to study the static performance of jet deflection proportional amplifiers. The general fluid phenomena of stream interaction in specially designed passages to perform the function of sensing, logic and control is utilised in the jet deflection fluidic amplifiers. The performance characteristics of proportional amplifiers is an important step in choosing the correct device in the fluidic control circuit. Fluidic elements working on this principle with aspect ratio of 1 and 2.4 are fabricated in perspec. Their performance under varying flow situation are experimentally observed. Analysis of parameters are done so as to arrive at characteristics of flow, power and overall gain have been discussed. (DePo)
