The most important factor in appraising a mixing vessel is the structure's performance in mixing. A premium is placed on quick completion of the mixing procedure and minimal comsumption of power. Using these two criteria-mixing time and power consumption-to evaluate mixing performance in the homogeneous liquid at fully turbulance region, then, the influence of the shape and location of the mixing impellers and the fully turbulance region, then, the influence of the shape and location of the mixing impellers and the level of the liquid in the vessel on the mixing performance was studied experimentally. The purpose of this experiment was to obtain basic data for use in the design of high-performance mixing vessels. The shape of the equipment used in the experiment was kept as close to that of commercial equipment as possible. Under the assumption that the mixing time and power consumption give a good estimate of mixing performance, this experiment tries to clearly define the correlation between the mixing time and power consumption and the flow pattern.
