Biophysical properties of knitting goods in laboratory researches and usage test. The comfort of using the knitted, two-layers goods may be improved by applying the materials featuring different kinship to the humidity absorption. The intensity of perspiration vary greatly depending on activity and environment. The article presents the physiological properties of the two-layer knitted fabrics tested recently at the TRICOTEXTIL Institute under usage, exercise conditions. The scope of lab tests included: the hygroscopicity, air permeability, time of drying, water vapour permeability, thermal resistance and sorption factors. Research was done at the inner side of the material, according to the standards and test procedures. The analysis of the results showed that all of the samples of knited fabric with polyester yarns applied, appear similar in terms of the biophisical factors measured. For exercise tests, the humidity dynamics was adopted as the basis for climate estimation. The goods with a polyester yarns applied form different microclimate, when compare to the standard 100% cotton sample. The humidity charts are presented. The conclusions are: All of the samples with polyester yarns added improve the user's comfort. Suggested modified climate estimation method reduces time of test remarkably. The design of workplace for exercise simulation usage test led to the new research project proposal in order to develop a less time-consuming method of estimating the product usability and bio-physical properties.
